Our Dallas, TX client is seeking an Accounts Payable clerk on a contract to possible hire basis. This is a position for a well established company. Excellent growth potential.
Skills & Knowledge: Data entry and scanning abilities, attention to detail, familiarity with accounting systems and data input requirements, ability to work with a team required.
Duties:
Accurately and efficiently code and scan invoices, applying correct routing daily.
Receives and processes vendor invoices
Maintains open files and submits to workflow
Obtains approval from appropriate personnel for discrepancies
Accurate and timely copying of coding information for approved invoices from the Scanning System (Filehold) to the original invoice daily.
Accurate and timely entry and coding of invoices into the OGSYS Accounting System daily.
Reviews invoices scheduled for payment
Updates Excel spreadsheet
Receives and answers phone calls/e-mails from vendor or other departments regarding invoice status
Reviews vendor statement monthly and researches items not yet entered for payment
Performs other accounting duties as requested by the Senior Accounts Payable clerk
Requirements:
2 years experience in Accounts Payable
High school graduate required, some college (accounting classes) preferred.
Oil & Gas experience is a plus
Proficient with Excel
Strong work ethic
Attention to detail and ability to multi task
