Golden Retriever - Drake - Avail Soon - Large - Adult - Male
Drake is a 8 year old, dark red male that weighs 72 pounds. He was at a local shelter again after he was found wandering the streets and his owner didn't come for him this time. Drake is current on vaccinations and microchipped. He has been neutered and will start heartworms treatment soon. Once that is completed he will be released for adoption. From Drake's foster home: Drake is a sweetheart of a Golden. We dont think he has spent much time indoors as when he first arrived he seemed unsure of what to do and how to behave. He quickly learned how to walk well on a leash (he still has his crazy moments but...) and seems to follow whatever our other Golden does. Even though he is currently undergoing Heartworm treatment he always has a big smile and wagging tail for you. He loves his people and wants to be where you are. Drake has a beautiful red coat and great golden posture. He is very friendly and loving. He is not a barker or a counter surfer. He gets along with our Golden really well (do not know about cats althoug he is quite curious and excited about squirrels and possums) and other dogs. He is good size and lean (67 lbs) so he is a good cuddler and loves to be pet (what Golden doesnt?). He is so sweet and has an all-around happy demeanor that just makes you smile when you see him! Drake would be a good guy to have around for a couple or family with older children.
