Pomeranian - Bailey - Small - Adult - Male - Dog
ADOPTION FEE: $200 Approximate AGE: 6 years old Vaccination Date: December 2013 Health: Excellent Weight: 14 lbs Temperament: Bailey spent his entire life with one person in one environment and was not taken on walks or anywhere really. He is okay with meeting new people for not having a social life. He is okay with other dogs but tends to growl at them if they bug him. So if you have other dogs, you may have to "test drive" him a few weeks to see if they get along okay. Favorite Activities: Now that he gets to go on walks, he LOVES it. He starts off full speed ahead because he is so excited to be getting out of his house. He's a great walker. He loves to play tug-of-war. He likes to throw his toys all over and he is very entertaining to watch. Guilty Pleasures: He loves to eat so please do NOT free-feed this boy. He needs measured out meals daily and healthy treats. Don't you wish someone would do this for you? Crimes: Bailey was owned by an elderly woman his whole life. She never took him for walks or to the store. The only visitors she had was her two adult sons. Bailey is pretty social and obediant but when he got severely overweight, it became difficult for her to move Bailey around. Being so overweight, it hurt Bailey to be moved off the bed or couch by his parent. One day, Bailey bit her hand when she was pulling him off the couch. She quickly surrendered him to rescue. Bailey has some height issues now. When he is up on a chair or the couch or even in the car, he is afraid to be pulled down. We give him some space and eventually, he jumps down on his own and is happy again. This will take some time to correct. Because of Bailey's bite history, we do not recommend him for a family with kids that might try to lift him up or pull him off the couch. Bailey will need to go to a home that will continue to socialize him and help him be friendly to everyone he meets. Ambitions: To find the perfect furrever home Dogs being adopted will be: Up-to-date on their vaccinations (including rabies if the animal is over 4 months of age), given a Bortatella vaccination, spayed or neutered, dental if needed, fecal tested, heartworm tested (and treated if positive), given a general dewormer, treated for fleas, and given a weeks worth of Nutro Natural Choice small bites dog food. Phone 214-778-7758 IF YOU WANT TO ADOPT, PLEASE EMAIL: [email removed] or [email removed] E-MAIL INQUIRES: Please be patient with us! We're taking care of a lot of kids – The foster kids AND our own. Plus, we have families, homes and even full time jobs. We're giving meds to the sick kids, playing with the healthy kids, and loving on all the kids as often as possible. We're doing their laundry, trying to teach them manners and taking them on walks. In other words, we're just a little busy but we'll return email inquiries just as fast as we pawssibly can. ADOPTION DONATIONS: When you see the adoption donation amounts, we'd like you to know that 90% of the time the donation amount DOESN'T EVEN COME CLOSE to covering that kid's dogtor bills. Most of the kids have a minimum $500 vet bill that we pay out of our own pockets. But the impawtant thing is to get these kids the medical care they need and help them find the pawfect family. That's our top pawority. (Sorry, I just can't resist using "paw" whenever I can!)
