As a Data Center Network Analyst in the client's Westlake, TX location, you will be responsible for the following:
Responsibilities:
•Assist the Network Engineering team with designing networks and infrastructure in the datacenter
•Assemble, stage, configure and deploy scalable multilayer networks according to the client's defined standards and industry best practices
•Provide build assistance and infrastructure support for security appliances (firewalls, proxy appliances, IDS systems, network taps, etc)
•Manage individual projects for the datacenter
•Manage circuit installations for the datacenter, extending circuits as needed
•Process moves, adds, and changes (MACs) for the network
•Provide local/tier-2 support for network infrastructure in the datacenter
•Manage the incident and change management queues associated with the datacenter, servicing requests as needed
•Manage the servicing of patching requests
•Manage and/or implement configuration change requests
•Maintain rack elevations for network/telecom racks
•Maintain network asset and circuit inventory
•Facilitate any build/change activity into the NOC for ongoing operations
•Participate in LAN capacity planning
•Define cabling requirements as needed for the datacenter
•Management of cabling vendors
•Minimum of 5 years experience in managing/supporting enterprise data networks, including both LAN and WAN
•Product expertise in Cisco required. Knowledge of the Cisco Nexus platform is preferred
•Strong troubleshooting skills are essential
•Knowledge of cabling/patching is a must
•MPLS, IPT, VPN, Loadbalancer, Firewalls, IDS, Out-of-band management systems a plus
•Candidate must be a team player and have a high regard for details and quality workmanship
•Candidate must be available for scheduled, off-hours maintenance windows as well as on-site dispatch for critical issues
•Candidate must be able to travel to nearby sites periodically
•Some weekend work required occasionally
