Job Title: Emergency Department Director
Job Summary:
The Emergency Room Director is accountable for coordinating the activities and providing clinical and administrative leadership and expertise in one or more defined areas of the medical center. He/she contributes to the vision, mission, strategic plan of the organization, and is accountable for the standards of care and practice in the areas where clinical nursing is practiced. In addition, the Director possesses knowledge of JCAHO, Department of Health guidelines, rules and regulations of the hospital, and has a thorough understanding of sound management principles. Reports to Senior VP, Chief Clinical Operating Officer, CNO.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required
- Current RN license required
- 5+ years’ leadership experience required, preferably in the ED
