State Variable Filter providing Low Pass, High Pass, Notch, and Band Pass. Used to alter the harmonic content of waveforms. Includes voltage controlled resonance (Q) with a reversable attenuator, attenuatable frequency control, 1V/Octave frequency control, and a 2 channel mixer.
The Q107 Filter changes the harmonic content of signals to create new, interesting sounds. This removal of harmonics is the basis of subtractive synthesis. Both the cutoff frequency and the resonance (Q) of the filter can be controlled manually and/or controlled by another signal such as an envelope generator, oscillator, keyboard, etc. Control signals can be attenuated and inverted. Low Pass, Band Pass, Notch (Band Reject), and High Pass responses are provided simultaneously.
Use the Q162 Filter Mixer next to your Q107 Filter to easily create new sounds. Simply select the amount of High Pass, Band Pass, Notch, and Low Pass response used to contribute to the final waveform which is available at 2 connectors.
The Q162 is connected to the Q107 Filter using cables behind the panels. Requires exchanging connectors on the Q107 filter. Soldering not required.
