Our Plano, TX client is seeking a Sales Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for working with the sales team and customers to design hosting environments using best practices methodologies.
- Responsible for identifying the customer’s issues and aiding the sales team in presenting logical hosted solutions.
- Participate in weekly deal review meetings with the Operations team to open communication between teams and provide a forecast for incoming orders.
- Participate in industry and customer events as a technical resource.
Requirements:
- 3-5+ years datacenter operations experience
- Background in IT infrastructure, systems, software or network experience
- Experience in sales operations or customer facing consulting positions
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internally within other departments
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and staff requests
- Certifications with Microsoft, Cisco, VMware or other industry leaders
- Experience and familiarity with products / services in the hosting industry
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies and providers
- Fluency in secondary languages
